My Quilty Bucket List

My Quilty Bucket List

I am an obsessive list maker. For everything. Recipes I want to try, projects I want to tackle, what needs to be done today, EVERYTHING. I mean, one of my first blog posts was a list of 26 things I want to accomplish in 2026! As a quilter, sewist, and general maker, I always have a list of projects I want to do.... along with the WIPs that tend to pile up. This list doesn't contain itself to JUST projects though.... there's also new techniques I want to try... quilty places I want to go... all the things!

Wishlist Quilts

These are the quilts that I absolutely want to make time to sew in between my commissions and my own quilt patterns!

Techniques to Try

Places to Go

  • I obviously want to go to Quilt Con and I am going to try my best to be able to make it next year!
  • Missouri Star is definitely on my list of places to go!
  • I would also like to go to Paducah!
  • I've planned an Arkansas Quilt Shop Hop where I plan to visit every quilt shop in Arkansas over the course of a year!

Miscellaneous Projects

  • I NEED to sew up the jelly roll rug I bought the items for years ago.
  • I want to make some quilted sneakers, and I actually plan on making some to wear for my wedding! I want to use Belle Brunner's new "Always" line for Benartex since it is bridal themed! (picture taken from Belle's website, Seams Sew Me)

  • One big goal is to finish all my WIPs over ALL my hobbies... that will be a big undertaking.
  • I have a lot of clothing, crocheting, and knitting projects as well, but we'll skip those for now.

Quilts to Design

  • I have several quilts or smaller items planned for next year!
  • Not all of the quilt patterns I have in my head will be patterns for sale... I actually have a lot of art quilt "series" type ideas, which is why I want to learn collage and other art quilting techniques!
  • The art quilt design ideas are more quilts I want to make for shows than designs I want to make to sell!
  • Some of these include a series on my favorite place in the world, a self portrait, and (the one I'm going to try to work on this year still) a piece about how we're all the same inside.

I have lots to work on, lots to think about, lots to plan, and always lots to do! I love having goals and aspirations and dreams. Tell me about your quilty bucket list, and sign up for my email list to cheer me on to my goals!
